Life COMPass

Life COMPass (Competencies. Orientation. Motivation.)

Helping young people navigate what comes next.

Life COMPass (Competencies. Orientation. Motivation.) is an interactive development programme for students in Grades 10–12 and young people, designed to support one of the most important transitions in their lives—from school to the next stage of their educational, professional, and personal journey.

Today’s young people have access to more opportunities than ever before, yet they rarely have the space, guidance, or support to understand how to navigate them with confidence.

Life COMPass was created to bridge that gap.

Rather than starting with careers or university choices, the programme starts with the individual. Through experiential learning, coaching-inspired facilitation, self-discovery tools and assessments, practical challenges, and the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology, participants develop greater self-awareness, strengthen essential life competencies, and build the confidence to make informed decisions about their future.

What participants develop?

Throughout the programme, participants strengthen practical, transferable skills they can apply both in everyday life and in their future careers, including:

  • Communication and active listening

  • Decision-making

  • Prioritization and time management

  • Collaboration and teamwork

  • Giving and receiving feedback

  • Self-awareness and confidence

  • Personal responsibility and ownership

  • Career exploration and future planning

How we work?

Life COMPass combines:

  • Experiential learning

  • LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® career workshops

  • Group coaching

  • Interactive workshops

  • Self-discovery tools and assessments

  • Practical exercises

  • Group discussions based on real-life situations

  • Reflection and personal action planning

  • Opportunities to build a supportive network of peers and external professionals

Participants are not passive listeners—they think, explore, experiment, share ideas, and actively shape their own future.

Why Life COMPass?

Life COMPass creates a supportive environment where young people can learn, experiment, and grow with confidence.

The programme combines proven methodologies with valuable experience gained across different educational and professional environments. It builds on Valeriya’s experience of studying, living, and working in Belgium, combined with years of active work with young people in Bulgaria. As a result, it brings together diverse educational and cultural perspectives, the realities of both international and local environments, and practical insights into the transition from education to the world of work.

More than an extracurricular programme, Life COMPass is an investment in the confidence, competencies, and mindset young people need to navigate future opportunities, decisions, and challenges.

Because Life COMPass doesn’t help participants find one “right” path.

It helps them develop the confidence and competencies to navigate many possible paths.
